Sovereign compute for research & education

Bringing AI research out of the lab.

I build the compute, infrastructure and software that let researchers work without asking a cloud provider for permission. The platforms run in research and education, and no outside party holds custody of the data or the machines.

It is a question of legitimacy.

The plan

Where this is going.

  1. 2026 In motion · Laying the fabric
    • A framework agreement between the Danish universities, the P1 consortium, and the national compute facilities.
    • A GenAI inference platform, shared across the Danish universities.
    • Compute that is easy to reach and easy to use, for researchers in every field.
    • Infrastructure and platforms that research and education own and run themselves.
  2. 2027 Next · Beyond the border
    • Compute infrastructure opened beyond Danish borders.
    • Platforms that carry AI research out of the lab and into society.

The seam

Where public and private meet.

Rules and governance make it unlikely that universities and other public institutions will build at hyperscale. Private credit can. The useful work happens where the two meet: attracting talent, bridging research and industry, and investing in innovation and startups. That is where I work. My focus is access to compute, and the infrastructure and software around it that research needs.
